Where to play padel in Adelaide
Where to play padel in Adelaide: Padel Fit in Thebarton, the new courts at Playford, and the Prospect, Port Noarlunga and Campbelltown projects.
Short answer: Adelaide's established padel venue is Padel Fit at 8 Light Terrace, Thebarton, which describes itself as the first indoor, world-class padel courts in Adelaide. Voyager Tennis lists padel court hire and a free intro class at Playford Tennis Centre in Elizabeth East, where four padel courts were due to be installed in 2026. Tribe (Prospect) and STRYKR (Port Noarlunga) are coming, and Campbelltown council has consulted on three courts at Foxfield Oval.
Adelaide is earlier in the padel story than Sydney, Melbourne or Perth. That is good news if you like a smaller community: the people you meet at your first social are likely to be the regulars for a while. Sitchu's Adelaide guide, updated in September 2026, put it simply: "Adelaide is only just getting started."
Where can I play padel in Adelaide?
Thebarton, SA
Padel Fit
Describes itself as Adelaide's first indoor padel courts. Bookings of 1 to 2 hours, open matches, lessons and racket hire.
Announced or under construction
Prospect, SA
Tribe Padel & Wellness Adelaide
Four indoor panoramic courts reported as coming soon to Prospect, with recovery facilities.
Padel Fit, Thebarton
Padel Fit is the venue most Adelaide players start at. Its website calls it "the first indoor, world-class padel courts in Adelaide" and lists opening hours of 7:30am to 10pm on weekdays and 7am to 10pm on weekends. Sitchu describes four premium indoor courts and calls it "the venue that introduced Adelaide to the sport".
From its own site, Padel Fit offers:
- court bookings of one, one and a half or two hours
- open matches you can join
- padel racket rental
- lessons and coaching for all levels
- social events, and venue hire for corporate events
Bookings are through the Padel Fit website and its app. I could not find published court hire prices, so check the booking page.
One thing to note: Padel Australia's Find a Court page lists Padel Fit's courts as outdoor, while Padel Fit's own website says indoor. I have gone with the venue's own description.
Playford Tennis Centre, Elizabeth East
In June 2026 the City of Playford announced that Voyager Tennis would take over Playford Tennis Centre from 6 July 2026 and that four padel courts would be installed, bringing the centre to 26 courts. The council described Playford as one of the first councils in South Australia to offer padel.
When I checked in November 2026, Voyager's website listed a "Padel Court" option for court hire at Playford and a free intro padel class, and Padel Australia lists Voyager Playford on its Find a Court page. I did not find a page confirming the courts are finished, so book through Voyager to see what is available.
Is there padel in the Adelaide Hills or Prospect?
I did not find a padel venue in the Adelaide Hills. For Prospect, Tribe Padel & Wellness has been reported by Sitchu as coming to Prospect Road with four indoor panoramic courts, ice baths, sauna and a pro shop. Tribe's website lists Adelaide with an address "coming soon".
What padel courts are coming to Adelaide?
- Tribe, Prospect: four indoor panoramic courts, reported as coming soon.
- STRYKR, Port Noarlunga: GreenSpace Management is turning the WM Hunt Park driving range into a multi-sport venue. Golf Industry Central reported in December 2025 that the first phase includes two padel courts, with plans for two more, and construction starting in 2026.
- Foxfield Oval, Campbelltown: the City of Campbelltown consulted the community from December 2025 to January 2026 on converting two tennis courts into three padel courts with a kiosk, run by an operator on a five-year lease at no cost to ratepayers. When I checked, the project was still under review.
Back in December 2024, the Adelaide Park Lands Association reported on a startup, Padelaide, that had proposed two padel courts under an inflatable cover in the Park Lands. No site had been approved at the time.
How much does padel cost in Adelaide?
I could not find published court hire prices for Adelaide venues in November 2026. As a guide, open venues in other capitals charge from about $40 to $100 an hour per court, or $12 to $25 per player. Voyager's intro padel class at Playford was listed as free. See what padel costs in Australia for the full comparison.
Where can I learn padel in Adelaide?
Padel Fit offers lessons and coaching for all levels, according to its website, and Voyager lists a free intro padel class at Playford. A first lesson is the best way to start, especially in a smaller scene where finding three other players at your level can take a little time. Read my padel lessons guide and what to expect at your first session.
How do I find people to play with in Adelaide?
Open matches and socials are the easiest way. Padel Fit lists open matches on its booking system, where you can join a game that needs players. Social sessions mix players by level.
Is anything planned for regional South Australia?
I did not find padel venues outside metropolitan Adelaide. The Port Noarlunga and Playford projects are on the southern and northern edges of the metro area.
Nearby cities
The closest big padel scene is Melbourne, with 11 venues I could confirm. For the national picture, see where to play padel in Australia.
