Where to play padel in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast

South East Queensland is where Australian padel is moving fastest right now. In August 2026, The Weekend Edition reported that more than ten clubs were expected to open across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast in the following six months. In the same article, a Padel Australia development manager said the country had gone from nine venues to more than 30 since he started in the role.

Where can I play padel in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast?

Confirmed open on the venue's site or booking page in November 2026, listed in no particular order:

Where is padel in Brisbane?

Padel Brisbane at The Gap has four outdoor artificial grass courts at The Gap Health and Racquet Club on Settlement Road. It describes itself as Brisbane's first dedicated padel club. The courts are lit for night play, according to The Weekend Edition.

The same operator lists a second venue at Landers Pocket, Brisbane Airport, as coming soon, with four outdoor courts near Golf Central and the DFO. That is the "padel Brisbane airport" people search for.

Two other Brisbane-area names come up in searches and news coverage: Padel Logan at Meadowbrook Golf Club, reported in August 2026 as set to open in September with four courts, and Gizmo Courts at Underwood. I could not find a venue website or booking page for either, so check with them directly. The Weekend Edition also reported that MATCH Padel Club (South Brisbane) and Padelo were on the way.

Where is padel on the Gold Coast?

• Padel Gold Coast at KDV Sport, Carrara. Six outdoor courts with LED lighting, open from 5:30am to 10pm according to its booking page. The Weekend Edition reported it had more than 260 members.
• Gold Coast Racquet Club, Robina. Seven outdoor panoramic padel courts and six pickleball courts at Robina Town Centre. It officially opened on 1 September 2026.

Coming soon on the Gold Coast, according to the venues' own sites:

• PADLX Burleigh Heads (four outdoor courts, listed for November 2026) and PADLX Arundel (eight indoor courts with 10 m ceilings, listed for December 2026).
• Padhaus in Molendinar (eight indoor courts, listed for late 2026).

The Weekend Edition also reported clubs planned at Parkwood (eight courts) and Coomera (Icon Padel GC, seven padel courts), without opening dates.

Where is padel on the Sunshine Coast?

Both open Sunshine Coast venues are in Forest Glen:

• Padelground has seven indoor courts, including a singles court. Sunshine Coast News described it as a $4 million, 3,200 square metre club when it was announced in April 2026. A second site at Station Yards is listed for summer 2027.
• Ace Padel Clubs has four indoor panoramic doubles courts and is open from 5am to 11pm.

How much does padel cost in South East Queensland?

Prices I could read on venue and booking pages, checked November 2026:

Most SEQ clubs are pushing memberships. The Racquet Club's founder memberships, PADLX's founding memberships and Ace Padel's monthly plan all reduce the per-hour cost for regular players. See what padel costs in Australia.

Where can I get padel lessons in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast?

• Padel Brisbane at The Gap runs intro sessions, adult clinics, private lessons and junior programs for ages 7 to 14.
• Padel Gold Coast runs group lessons, skills and drills sessions, and coaching.
• Gold Coast Racquet Club runs clinics, with private coaching listed as coming soon.
• Padelground runs private, semi-private and coach-led clinics.

How do you book?

The two Padel Brisbane venues and Padel Gold Coast use MATCHi, a booking platform. Gold Coast Racquet Club and Ace Padel use Playtomic. See how to book a padel court.

Why is South East Queensland getting so many clubs?

It is part of a national trend. In the same Weekend Edition article, Padel Australia said there were around 100,000 players in Australia and that the sport was on track to pass 200 courts nationally by the end of 2026. Read more in why padel clubs are opening across Australia.
