Editorial policy

This page explains how PadelGuide researches and checks what it publishes. The short version: every fact has a public source, every page shows when it was last checked, and if I could not verify something, I left it out.

Who writes and checks the guides

Guides are researched and written by Daniel Kilkelly. Daniel is not a padel coach, official or court builder, and the site does not claim any padel qualification. See About.

What counts as a source

• Rules: the International Padel Federation's Rules of Padel, applying from 1 January 2026. For other sports, their official rulebooks (ITF, USA Pickleball, World Squash).
• Venues: the venue's own website or its public booking page (for example Playtomic or MATCHi). I use Padel Australia's Find a Court page and news reports to find venues, and to describe venues that are announced but not yet open.
• Prices: listed prices on venue, retailer or builder websites, with the date I read them. I call them typical ranges, not quotes.
• Growth figures: Padel Australia, the International Padel Federation, Playtomic's reports and named news articles, attributed in the text. Forecasts are labelled as forecasts.

What I do not publish

• Venues or shops I could not confirm on a public page.
• Ratings, reviews, testimonials or "best of" rankings.
• Phone numbers or email addresses for venues.
• Claims that I have tested products. I have not.
• Invented numbers. If no source gives a figure, I say so.
• Photos. The site uses only diagrams drawn from the official measurements.

When sources disagree

I go with the most direct source (usually the venue's own page or the official rulebook) and, where it matters, say on the page that other sources differ.

How often pages are checked

Every page shows a "Last checked" date. All facts on the site were last checked in November 2026. Venue lists and prices change quickly, so I aim to recheck city pages and price pages every three months, and rules and court pages at least once a year or when the FIP publishes new rules.

Corrections

If you find an error, contact me with a link to the correct information. I will check it and update the page.

Money and independence

The site currently has no advertising, no affiliate links and no sponsored content. I do not accept payment for listings or free products. If that changes, I will disclose it on this page and the About page, and advertising or affiliate income will not affect which venues I list or what I say about products.
