Where to play padel in Canberra
Where to play padel in Canberra: six indoor courts at the Canberra Racquet Club in Fyshwick, court hire and clinic prices, and how to get started.
Short answer: The padel venue in Canberra is the Canberra Racquet Club at 18 Nyrang Street, Fyshwick. It has six indoor panoramic padel courts plus pickleball courts, and is open 6am to 10pm every day. Court hire was listed at $60 an hour off-peak and $80 an hour at peak times, racket hire at $10 with balls included, and clinics at $50 per person when I checked in November 2026.
Canberra's padel story is short. When the Canberra Times covered the Racquet Club in June 2025, its founder said Canberra had no padel or pickleball courts before it opened. A year later HerCanberra described it as one of Canberra's fastest-growing social sporting communities, and the club held a first birthday party in June 2026.
Where can I play padel in Canberra?
Fyshwick, ACT
Canberra Racquet Club
Six indoor panoramic padel courts plus pickleball, open 6am to 10pm daily. Clinics and private lessons.
The Canberra Racquet Club is the only padel venue in the ACT listed on Padel Australia's Find a Court page, and the only one I could confirm as open. People sometimes search for "Padel 360 Canberra". Padel 360 is a club in Cockburn, Perth, and I did not find a Canberra venue by that name.
What is the Canberra Racquet Club like?
From its own pages and HerCanberra's coverage:
- Size: a 4,000 square metre indoor facility in Fyshwick.
- Courts: six padel courts surrounded by panoramic glass, plus pickleball courts. HerCanberra described them as among the first pink padel courts in Australia.
- Hours: 6am to 10pm, seven days, according to its Playtomic page.
- Opened: a soft launch in April and May 2025, according to HerCanberra.
Being indoors matters in Canberra. Winter mornings and evenings are cold, and an indoor court means you can play year round.

Published prices on the Racquet Club's website, checked November 2026:

The column headings on the club's price table were not clear on the page I read, and I have matched the padel rates to the higher figures. Check the rate when you book.
With four players sharing a court, an hour costs $15 to $20 each before racket hire. That is similar to other capitals. See what it costs to play padel in Australia.
Can I get padel lessons in Canberra?
Yes. The Racquet Club lists:
- weekly clinics, including intro, beginner, intermediate and a ladies morning clinic
- masterclasses
- private, semi-private and group lessons on request
- a padel course, listed on Playtomic at $200
Socials such as a "First Serve Social" were listed on Playtomic at $25. A clinic or beginner social is the easiest way in. Read my guide to padel lessons and your first session.
Is there padel competition in Canberra?
The club runs tournaments and social events through Playtomic, such as a "Padel & Pizza" night listed at $45. People search for "padel tournament Canberra" and "padel competition Canberra". I did not find a separate ACT padel association. Nationally, competition is organised by Padel Australia, which describes itself as the sport's governing body in Australia.
How do you book in Canberra?
Court bookings, clinics and socials are on Playtomic. Download the app, search for the Canberra Racquet Club, pick a time and pay. You can also join open matches that need players. See how to book a padel court.
Padel or pickleball in Canberra?
The Racquet Club offers both, so you can try each in one visit. Padel is played on an enclosed court with glass walls and a solid racket. Pickleball is played on a smaller open court with a paddle and a plastic ball. My padel vs pickleball guide explains the differences.
Are more padel courts coming to Canberra?
I saw reports of a planned padel and pickleball facility elsewhere in Canberra, but could not open the planning documents to confirm the details, so I have not listed it. I will add any new venue once I can confirm it on a public page.
Nearby
The closest bigger padel scene is Sydney, about three hours' drive away, with 14 venues I could confirm.
